[VOTE] Votes in Issue Tracker or STATUS file?

Per Karl's request, here's our official vote vote. ;-)

Votes for merging candidate revisions for a release should be housed in:

[ ] Issue Tracker
[ ] STATUS file in the Subversion repository
[ ] Don't care, just pick! (i.e. abstain)

Anyone can vote even if you aren't a full committer (only their votes are
binding though). To make my life easier, please don't launch a commentary
either way in this thread - you can campaign on the previous threads.

We'll let this one sit for a few days and see how the consensus falls. If
there's a clear winner by Tuesday or Wednesday, we'll close it.
