I agree.

As someone already said, you need to be an expert to understand how to
make use of infinite logs, and you need to be an expert to decide that
such a catastrophic recovery option is actually *worth* infinite disk
growth from read-only operations.

So I say let the "experts" deal with infinite logs and all ramifications
thereof, not the other 99% of us.
