I can point you to Glenn Thompson <gthompson@cdr.net>, who already has
a plan for making the Subversion database backend pluggable. And I
can express extreme displeasure regarding any binding of libsvn_fs to
another database without the proper abstraction work being performed.
And I can tell you that yes, we have some unfortunate
intertwingledness in the current libsvn_fs regarding backend storage
that makes that abstraction non-trivial.
