"Revision control" or "Version control"?

doc/book/HACKING says:
We have a "Version Control System", NOT a "Revision Control System"

Many of the command-line client's help and error messages say "revision control". Should we change the help and error messages to say "version control"?

It's an easy thing to do; I just want to know whether that rule is still regarded as correct.
