This should not be the problem, should it? But I see, where you are heading,
when you start mounting working copies, you also have the possibility of many
users using the same working copy simultaneously (even across platforms). I
never quite understood the purpose of this, but apparently some users are
working this way, and my proposal has the potential to break stuff then. Ok,
withdrawn ;-)
