I have to say, I don't understand... is this possible?

I understand that Sergey's XML changes allow svn to be compatible with
either neon-0.23 or -0.24. But is it even *possible* to have SSL code
that works with both versions of neon? And if David's too busy, will
Sergey make that happen?
