(Helge described a third option, putting the rev before the repos path.
But I think that's a non-starter from Apache's point of view.)

I'll observe that an actual svn client doesn't need to know how to add a
rev to an HTTP URL; it can use DeltaV and do it right. So I don't know
why it's so important that it should be doable automatically.
