<sarcasm> yes, by all means, let's support the crappy one through our
entire 1.0 release cycle </sarcasm>

the whole point of Subversion is to get rid of the poorly thought out
misfeatures of CVS. i'd prefer not to saddle us with our own set of
misfeatures now if we can possibly avoid it.
