Would it make sense if the svn diff behaviour could be specified via an environment variable ? Combined with a sane default behaviour, it seems to be the most flexible.

with a lot of sussman's help on irc (thx :)) i managed to
put together this minor patch to provide default diff -x options
to be specified in the config file.

attached diff is a patch for 0.24.1 re'diffed against a svn co.
the choise of the option name is probably quite bad, but i'm
really not sure of the scheming system for this.
