Just more info for you...I agree 100% and if you use the source option, you
get the source code that the binaries were made from too, and then it is
really easy to always stay up to date.

Thanks to whoever is keeping the Debian packages. They are very nice.

Wow, that's great to know. (I run Debian too, but of course I don't
use apt-get to install Subversion, since need to stay bleeding edge.)

I don't think that the existence of packages and package managers
means the complexity of source install somehow doesn't matter anymore,
however... :-)
