Re: Success stories

About a month ago I finally told my supervisors that I thought it would
be safe and worthwhile to switch to Subversion (from CVS).

So far we've only switched one sub-project (the one I work on). (Other
projects are worked on by less technical folks, who may resist learning
a new tool, especially if there's no mature GUI client.)

We're now on our 111th commit, and have had no problems. (Granted, we
haven't yet been exercising copy/move much, or even merge for that
matter, but I've still been pleasantly surprised at just how problem-free
the experience has been).

The global revision numbers (and their implications) alone have been well
worth the switch.
