Question on diff and updates

Hello again !

What if I were to do some changes that are currently inexpressible by svn
diff ? Let's say I wanted to start working on a French translation of
the SVN book ? I would like to start by copying the existing English
files, and then translating them to French. Should I submit a script
with the patch, specifying that the script should run before applying the
patch ?
