Re: diff_tests.py fails when config defines "diff-cmd"

Well, we clearly need the "--no-config" option proposed by Mike Pilato
a while back, in a note in issue #1004. (Eric, want to try making the
patch?)

A separate question is: how/why exactly is the test failing? Is
/usr/bin/diff not GNU diff or something?
