Which Berkeley version to use?

Hi busy people,

Great project. You are working towards something of which many people have a great need and which, to me, would almost be a holy grail!

I have built a working apache-based subversion server. Because of conflicting information I've built it with BerkeleyDB4.1.25 with the 4.1.25.1 patch (which works) but have since rebuilt it to use BerkeleyDB4.0.14 so that I would be using the same environment as the developement team.

However, in a recent post, "RE: pitiful dav performance" from Brandon Ehle, he makes the comment, "This is a known bug of using Apache2 with DB-4.0.14".

In light of this could someone direct me with regard to the appropriate BerkeleyDB version to use?

Thank you,
Mike Wright
