 I'm gonna be upgrading svn.collab.net to httpd-2.0.44 +
subversion-0.17.1 tonight, starting at midnight CST (that's in a
 little over an hour).

Just warning you all of the downtime.

I'll be dumping and loading the repositories there, so we'll be eating
some of that that checksum medicine.

Is there a particular reason this is being done, besides just eating
our own dog food?

Is a dump/load of the repository necessary to get checksumming
enabled in the server? If so, neither the announcement for 0.17.0
or 0.17.1 mentioned it.

Best,
Blair
