double entries in browser, one time in wc, no commit possible

did you ever notice a strange "duplication" of entries in the
following way:

should be structure, and structure in wc:
  trunk/proj/olddir

browser:
  trunk/proj (empty, just trunk as subdir ...)
  trunk/proj/trunk/proj/olddir

if you do a
svn mv -m "" http://server/trunk/proj/trunk/proj/olddir
http://server/trunk/proj

than via the browser you have:
  olddir
  trunk/proj/olddir

what do you do to get rid of this? where could it come from?

the only special thing, that happened to olddir was a copy to
tags/proj/olddir/v1.1. but after that it seemed to work normal.

server version: 16.0.
client versions: 16.0, 15.0, 15.5.
