Assume you meant "Date" :-)...

Hmmm. I'm not sure it's worth an issue; has it actually caused anyone
a problem? I believe the above is the way it's documented to work
(for Subversion, not RCS). Not that we deliberately chose to be
incompatible with RCS, but is this particular incompatibility causing
any practical problems?
