After installing a recent (self-compiled) libtool, I've had no trouble
compiling SVN under cygwin.

"make install" had difficulties renaming the binaries from "#123456"
to "svn.exe" (or other random number, I think it had something to do
with "install.sh"), but I could easily figure out the correct names
and rename them manually.
