I'm all for short aliases but I have to agree -- there are enough
already. Right now after svn you can type:

--version cp import mv propdel ren sw
add del info pdel propedit rename switch
checkout delete list pe propget resolve up
ci di log pedit proplist revert update
cleanup diff ls pg propset rm
co export merge pget ps st
commit h mkdir pl pset stat
copy help move plist remove status

If you add "dir" then you just know someone is going to complain that "di"
isn't working right :)

Every program has a learning curve. Adding a million aliases isn't going
to change that and can just end up hurting.
