Guess I should have replied faster.

This patch isn't quite right. True, we need to say that docbook is
the 'official' format for our docs. But we can't destroy all
references to texinfo, because some our documentation (the Design
spec) is still in texinfo. And our 'make doc' rules still build it,
and still require the texinfo tools.

So please either revert this patch, or commit a new change that
mentions *both* set of tools. When somebody has time to convert the
Design document to docbook (hint hint), then we can remove all texinfo
references.
