Mac OS X challenge

From: Scott Harrison <sharrison_at_users.sourceforge.net>

Hi,

I cannot get apr to compile on Mac OS 10.2 (on a 233 MHz WallStreet I, 12.1").
I tried both the apr within subversion and apr from cvs.

I try ./configure --disable-shared
still no luck.

The unavoidable error message is
"./configure:Error: decision on anonymous shared memory allocation method failed".

If I hand-edit the configure file and comment out the subsequent
"exit 1", I get
"./configure:Error: decision on namebased memory allocation method failed"

Any ideas? I have the DevTools .pkg installed, is there another Mac
OS 10.2 package dependency I am missing (esp. considering that others
install subversion with "no problem" on 10.2)?

Thanks for any help!

Regards,
Scott
