Hmmm, yes, I think it's a bug. It's a minor one -- the problem is
that svn doesn't try hard enough to find a writeable directory to
store the temporary file it holding the log message.

Odd, I thought we either a) had fixed this already, or b) had an issue
filed about it. But I don't see an issue either.

What version of svn were you using? I know it's later than rev 3283,
from the filename in your error, and I don't think any of the commits
since then would have fixed it...

Can you file an issue about it at

if the bug is present in the latest Subversion? The content of your
email is fine for the issue description.
