It wasn't a whim. I was aware of two people who ran into problems
with the code as is, one of them being me. I'm importing 38 vendor
releases using svn_load_dirs.pl and ran into this bug. My first
solution was to modify svn_load_dirs.pl to do the eol translation,
which works fine, but it seems cleaner to have svn do it. In addition,
I sent email to the group asking about it and didn't get a response
for 18 hours. I don't know how long you're supposed to wait, but
this sure gets a response quick :)

Do you have a reference to the discussion, subject to search for, etc?

Best,
Blair
