Best Practices (was: rapidsvn feedback)

All right. This thread is really getting out of hand.

I don't think anybody is *against* writing such a document. Fine. Someone
should just go ahead and write the darned thing. We can then incorporate it,
reference it, or whatever from the standard documentation.

Stop going back and forth about nuances. The simple fact is that the doc
doesn't exist, so all this is premature banter.

He absolutely did not say that. He said something along the lines of "go
trolling for authors on the mailing list". In this case, trolling means to
gather helpers. There is definitely the perjorative form along the lines of
"trolling for flame fests".

The meaning that Karl meant from http://www.dictionary.com/:

v. intr.

   1. To fish by trailing a line, as from a moving boat.
   2.
      1. To wander about; ramble.
      2. Slang. To patrol an area in search for someone or something.
   3. Music. To sing heartily or gaily.
   4. To roll or spin around.

2.1 is the meaning he is going for.

Cheers,
