Yeah, I saw that link in the issue, and visited the page. It's a
great writeup!

Having no firsthand experience with the procedure, I can't confidently
say that more automation is called for; but it does seem rather more
complex than the automation CVS offers for vendor branches. Not
saying we absolutely have to match CVS's automation, just keeping an
eye open for opportunities, that's all...
