I think this thread has something more to contribute, and I think that if we
all keep our calm and view this with perspective we'll not only increase our
understanding, but perhaps come up with a document which helps explain why
we're doing what we're doing.

It seems to be the consensus that Subversion is first and foremost a CVS
replacement, and the only reason to use it is if you love and hate CVS,
because it does the same things, but in a rational way.

I think subversion is much more than that, but I will agree that it's a good
start.
