That doesn't match what I know about Stallman's attitude. He prefers
the GPL to any other free software license (heck, so do I), but still
considers the others to be free software as long as they're compliant
with the Debian Free Software Guidelines, and therefore suitable for
use by the GNU project.

They must be using plenty of software over there which is not GPL'd.
Apache, for one! :-)
