Well, I can very well see the reversed case as well. What if I wanna make a
very quick script that generates a config file or just wants to extract
certain values off a svn config file. XML makes things like that harder.

I am guy of the old school in that sense. I like fiddling with config files
in emacs. I don't like having particular custom tools for it.
