Hey, that's a really interesting idea, especially as we already have
an XML parser in town. And the format would still be human-readable
enough for poor programmers debugging the working copy library. :-)

Since I'm almost implementing that functionality now (been laying down
foundation code the last couple of days), lemme sleep on it. Despite
a natural desire to code first and ask questions later, the file
formats will get a full write-up before any code is written. They
have a write-up right now, actually, but it's highly tentative and may
be obsoleted by an XML scheme.
