I don't want to disappoint you, but Unicode comes in several different
encodings, too. Other than that, there is nothing that stops you from adding
a property and modifying a client to look at it. Maybe even the mime-type
could be set to 'text/8859-1' or 'text/UTF-7' or whatever ...
