*groan* Okay, I was not clear in writing this. Sorry, it was late. :)
I'm a Windows native, but this install is being performed on FreeBSD 5.

I'm not going to be using WebDAV, I'm just looking to run svnserve as a
daemon.

The only related topic I have been able to find is the existance of the
"--with-neon" option. I'm going to spend some time reading through the
configure script and see if I can spot --without-neon or some such, but
that's pretty much all I've got at this point unless anyone has an idea. :)
