Couldn't we just cut this discussion short by saying that this is actually possible with client-side post-commit hooks?

Although setting them up is a little bit more complicated than just ticking a check box (that Noel probably want to have), it would still yield the desired results, although I would not recommend to do it.

Or did I miss something?
