Removing folder from TSVN

No matter what i try to do TSVN insists that some folder in a tree,
which is under TSVN control, must stay under TSVN control. I try
manually deleting it from the tree. On my next TSVN update it is added
back. I try to delete it from within the TSVN menu. A red X is put on
the folder but when I subsequently manually delete it TSVN adds it back
on the next update. I try to manually delete the .svn subfolder. On the
next update of the tree, TSVN adds it back.

How can I tell TSVN that I want to remove the folder from its control ?
