Sorry, but that's not possible.
No matter what version you were using, you would *never* be able to
checkout a folder named ".svn". That's the name of the admin dir
Subversion uses. So that's the only name you can't ever use in a working
copy or repository.

The only way you maybe could end up with such a folder successfully is
if you used the special ASP.NET version of TSVN before.
But since you were using 1.2.6 for which there isn't an ASP.NET version
of TSVN, that's unlikely.

If on the other hand, you directory has a name which just *ends* in
.svn, then you have to provide more details. Because I just tried this
here, and a directory named "test.svn" works perfectly well.
