Just spotted a problem with this. What happens if you want to do a
reverse merge, to undo something. Now you have no (easy) way to put the
numbers in the other way round. You would have to select the range, then
swap the numbers by hand.

If we are going to keep this feature, is it possible to add an
explanatory message to those 2 show log dialogs to say that you need to
select a range?

If the two show log buttons now do the same thing, should we disable one
of them?
