I've been announcing the release for a couple of weeks now, and the date is
posted on the roadmap page. From that, we leave it to the individual
translation teams to update the translations on their own. I don't think it
necessary for them to receive personalized release announcements. And I'm
hesitant to at yet another step to a growing release process.

This seems like something the translators should be doing, but I don't know
enough about the translation infrastructure to make an informed decision.
