It was not general and it was not "we". I said *I* am mildly put off by
your repeated off-topic suggestions to ditch version control history.

As for that "apparent unwillingness" — I invite you to read the dev@
mailing list archives from about 4 years ago, specifically the bit about
obliterate and Julian's attempt to specify and implement it. That was
just the latest attempt, and by no means the only one.

Next time, do your homework before scattering insults around like that.
