MacAfee is *not* your friend for developers. I'll also admit that I
use TortoiseSVN pretty successfully for Windows clients, and wonder if
that's the client you're using? If it's some locally compiled
hand-built Subversion client, as opposed to a well-supported distro,
that may be another issue.
