You might also want to be careful about the words "free software",
"open source software", and the way some folks mix them up and confuse
them as being "freeware". "Freeware" generally refers to price. "Free
software" generally refers to the "fee as in speech" nature of
licenses like the GPL. "Open source" software refers to software which
has its source code available, and is open for development, but whose
licenses may allow expansion which is *not* itself open source.

It can get a bit tricky to keep track. I urge you, or your company's
attorney, to review the licenses and make sure you understand the
implications. It's well worth doing because a great deal of modern
software has these kinds of free software or open source licenses, and
it will help avoid confusion about any patches you make or support you
might expect.
