I'd be willing to provide some real world testing on this patch. I'm not
sure I'd be able to get up to speed sufficiently on test models and the
like, but would do what I can. This would be a huge boon for us as I know
our place has two major toolsets in place that make extensive use of
externals and the session caching (especially for satellite locations)
performance issue is the number one frustration with the toolsets.
