Hi, Ellie:

It's an open source project. That means you can install it free, with your
own engineer's time, pretty easily. I did that with 2 London companies a
few years ago as a consultant, but I've moved back to Boston.

If you want commercial support, and your in-house people haven't done
significant source control projects, I'd urge you to talk to the nice
people over at WanDisco (www.wandisco.com). I suspect they'll be in contact
with you, they do have staff who post on this mailing list. They are major
contributors to the core Subversion software and have a bunch of
technically competent people I ran into a tthe SVNday conference in Berlini
last year. And I'm sure they'd be happy to train your staff.

Grab a free trial of their version of Subversion, which is usually more up
to date than what is built into your operating systems.
