Errr, what? Have google, amazon, facebook, etc. all changed while I

So what does that have to do with bourne shell or bash or the

I suspect quite a lot of the world would come to a grinding halt if
the commands executed by bourne-like shells stopped working - and
that's likely to be true for years to come. You'd even find more
than a little of it in OSX if you look under the covers.
