Subversion Day 2012, Berlin, 13/14 June

From: Stefan Sperling <stsp_at_elego.de>
Date: Thu, 3 May 2012 13:13:30 +0200

Hello users@,

elego is presenting a small Subversion conference in June this year.

The conference targets professional Subversion users and features
workshops and talks about Subversion. This is a chance of getting
to know people in person that you all know mostly from email. Putting
faces to names is a big part in strengthening community bonds. We hope
the Subversion community will enjoy this event and benefit from it.

The talks and workshops will be held by Subversion committers and members
of the users@ mailing list. About 15 Subversion committers will attend the
conference and work together for an entire week in a "hackathon" session
that runs alongside the conference event.

While elego is the main organiser, the event is partly sponsored by
several other companies involved in the Subversion community (thank
you all!). There is also a small registration fee to help cover expenses.

All developers who are working on the project in their own free time receive
full sponsorship to be able to attend the hackathon. This is an opportunity
for us to thank these kind people for their voluntary efforts. By attending
this event you are contributing to the fund that allows independent developers
to travel to Berlin for a week and meet in person. We've also invited some
new dev@ mailing list contributors to the hackathon, hoping to acquire some
talented fresh blood for a growing developer community.

For information about the event's agenda and how to sign up, please see:

We hope to see many of you in June!
Berlin is (usually) lovely in June and an exciting place to visit.

Stefan, on behalf of the entire elego team
