No, for simple reasons: If you are not an admin on the server with the
share, what can you do to analyze the reason for the permission denied
error? It can be everything. There's some Voodoo you can do like
ensure that no other client is accessing the repository, but that's
pretty much everything I can think of without server access.

The main problem as always: Why do you already have several
repositories used by file:///-access on a share, an unsupported setup,
without your IT guys involved?
