Yes, we had tried the RPM for 1.6.17 still running into dependencies
that we were having issues to
resolve. That was why we why we switched over to the 1.7.0 beta releases
in that they now include those
dependencies. Especially the apr-util which did appear to load correctly
prior to our configure attempts. All the
other dependencies installed too but they appear to work fine. Without
it you definitely see the configure attempting
to use the default installed system versions. That is why we thought it
should be an options syntax or path issue.
See their install prior to our configure attempts below. They all were
then in the local directory so the beta3 configure
did find them:
