It's also very important to integrate Subversion seamlessly with
Active Directory and other existing Windows infrastructure (it applies
to Windows shops, of course).

For example, products like VisualSVN Server allows users to
authenticate in Subversion server via Integrated Windows
Authentication (formerly known as NTLM authentication). This brings
clear benefits such as Single Sign-On and two-factor authentication.
Also please note that native Active Directory users and groups can be
used to configure access permissions.

There are other advantages such as integration with Windows Event Log and so on.
