check out limitation

            Hello,

            I was told that you can help me with the following question
related to the check out action with SVN.

I'm using svn 1.4.6 on Win XP SP3, as version control system with Visual
Elite library files (an electronic system level tool, where library design
which contains several graphic and text files). I'm getting this message
"Only latest version can be checked out in SVN" when trying to check out a
specific version of the unit. Is this is a restriction specific for SVN? Or
it is a limitation with the tool I'm using, Visual Elite?
