The log would have a complete history. I do not believe that the working copy has all of the checked in revisions. Being binary, there are no deltas. The complete file have to be checked in (unless something changed recently). I suspect that you are SOL with binary files. With text files you can get the diffs and reconstruct what a file looked like at a particular revision.
