Surely not what? The local folder is still obstructing, so svn st should
continue to report it as such.

The fact that it switched its mind from obstructing to unversioned
confirms that svn thinks the folder is deleted in the repository.

I can reproduce this bug (1.6.11 client and server). Indeed not
important enough for 1.6.x, but that workaround may be very handy.
