TimeOut connection

I am having a problem while checking out a repository of about 12 GB placed on a local machine
this is the Environment:
Windows Server 2000
Visual SVN Server

the error message i got is REPORT of '/svn/itk/!svn/vcc/default':Could not read response body: Secure
connection truncated(https://serverName)

i tried to change the https to http but still have the same problem.
